Smoke-free legislation campaign
The public information campaign for the new smoke-free legislation aimed to raise awareness among both the general public and businesses that the new legislation would be in force from 2 April 2007.
The TV and radio ads, aptly named 'Opinions', examine the arguments for and against people’s right to smoke. Despite acknowledging that opinion is divided, the ads always conclude with the one unarguable fact: Second-hand smoke kills. The new ban won’t.
Different advertising methods have been used for this campaign, including, TV, radio, press, ambient direct marketing. For examples of the ads please see below:
